How to play
- Reveal: left-click a cell to open it. Safe tiles show a number counting mines in the eight surrounding cells (including diagonals).
- Flag: right-click (or long-press on touch) toggles a flag on squares you believe hide mines.
- Win: open every non-mine cell without detonating a mine.
- Lose: clicking a mined cell ends the game immediately.
- New board: press New Game anytime for a reshuffled field.
Game description
Minesweeper hides a handful of hazards beneath a quilt of untouched squares. Reveal a safe cell and a numeral appears, reporting how many mined neighbors surround that spot in all eight directions. A blank edge means freedom nearby; a bold digit warns that several adjacent tiles still harbor risk. Victory means opening every safe square while never detonating a hidden mine, which turns each click into a miniature proof rather than a gamble. One reckless tap ends the board, so the mood rewards slow reading and honest flags.
When deduction points to danger, mark the square so your future self does not wander into it. Early probes along borders often collapse uncertainty quickly; later, overlapping clues chain together until a single cell must be safe or must be mined. New game reshuffles the field whenever you crave a fresh lattice, keeping the puzzle inside the tab you already have open—no installs, no accounts. Practiced players develop rituals: counting neighbors twice, imagining subsets of cells that share constraints, and celebrating the quiet click that unlocks a whole region. The score is survival and clarity; the reward is the moment scattered numbers suddenly snap into a coherent story.
