How to play
- Start: press Start Game; the snake waits on the grid until you choose a first direction.
- Steer: use arrow keys, the on-screen direction pad, or swipe on the board (short drag toward the move you want).
- Grow: eat the food dot to lengthen the snake and add 10 points; you cannot instantly reverse into your own body.
- Crash: touching a wall or your own tail ends the run.
- Again: press Start Game for a fresh snake and score without reloading the page.
Game description
Snake places you at the head of a line that never stops crawling until you tell it where to turn. Each food dot you swallow lengthens the chain, so yesterday’s safe corridor becomes tomorrow’s tail hazard. The arena walls are absolute; your own body is equally unforgiving. The challenge is not raw velocity but foresight—seeing how the grid will look after the next bend, refusing the suicidal instant reverse, and carving loops that leave escape air when the tail finally catches up to your ideas.
Arrow keys serve desktop players while on-screen arrows welcome touch, so the same habits travel between devices without a download ritual. Start drops you into motion quickly, which makes the game a natural filler between chores or a competitive pass-and-play duel on one screen. Sessions stay short enough to shrug off a crash yet tempting enough for “just one more” when a near miss still stings. Over time you notice calmer hands, earlier planning before the snake lengthens, and a healthier respect for corners where panic used to win. The score ticks in small rewards, but the real prize is spatial rhythm—reading emptiness before it fills.
